Lamplighter Motor Inn

Myself, Wife & 2 other couples stayed at the Lamplighter Motel for Country Golf Week, we all stayed in the same type of double room. The good thing apart from being close to the golf course is that the rooms have been sound proofed which blocked out the majority of the sound from the road, we also had renovated rooms which looked fantastic. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good in the morning, we ate together in the motel restaurant, we had help yourself continental breakfast, just what we needed to start a long day on the course. We all will be back next year to do it all again.

Balloons Restaurant

My wife & I celebrated our 60th Wedding Anniversary at Balloons Restaurant on Valentine's Day. It was a great night catching up with 30 of our extended family. The food and service was wonderful. Natalie and her staff are to be congratulated for an excellent evening. We will be dining more often. Thank-you again.

Cape Schanck Lightstation

A seductively secluded location! Awe – Inspiring views with a history to match. Take the time for some walks and photographs. The lighthouse at night is a sight to behold, as are the sunsets. The history was fantastic. Well worth the stay!

Cape Schanck Lightstation

Our stay at Cape Schanck lighthouse has been wonderful. We have thoroughly enjoyed our “Old Fashioned” accommodation. The stunning boardwalk and its views and staying up late to see the lighthouse operating. We will recommend it to family and friends and hope to visit again one day. Thank you

Cape Schanck Lightstation

The lighthouse accommodation provided a rare opportunity to slow down our hectic lives. I will always treasure the memory of my 30 year old children arguing over a monopoly board this Christmas! Happy Days!

Cape Schanck Lightstation

The level of seclusion and privacy was amazing!!

A little walk to see the lighthouse was a highlight! In the evening you just see millions of stars above, which was a real treat.

The Museum Cottage was lovely as a spot, as you have your own lookout and it was perfect for a romantic stay.

The “Step back in time” folder was an excellent source of information.

Cape Schanck Lightstation

When we arrived at Cape Schanck Lighthouse we were immediately special. We were given a key that unlocked the gate and then locked the rest of the world out.

Very first impression is how quiet it is and then the sounds of birds.

The keeper’s cottage we stayed in was decorated beautifully to the period. That old world charm but modern conveniences all available. A lovely blend of the old and comfort. (Museum Cottage)

Balloons Restaurant

We dined at Balloons Restaurant, our party of 4 people on Saturday 25^th August. We were greeted by a smiling and friendly Natalie who was our host, our evening was pleasant with nice music and great food prepared by the chef Joe. The entire night was a great experience, we will be dining again soon with more friends.

Monash Terrace Apartments

Our family recently stayed at your Monash Terrace Apartments for 3 nights from 5-8^th October for a family wedding, on our arrival we were greeted by a cheerful Natalie at reception, who gave us useful directions of getting around the Clayton/Oakleigh area with a local map, she also was very obliging by giving us the local train times for going into the city and ticket prices, which was big help. We found the apartment to be cosy and a nice place to stay. We hope to return soon.

Lamplighter Apartments

Our sports team of 18 kids and 6 adults stayed in 4 of the Lamplighter Apartments for a week in August, we found the staff were only to willing to help us, our apartments were serviced well by the housemaids and are well maintained, staff were very helpful with extra requests. A pleasure to stay and we will be back next year

My husband and I stayed at your Lamplighter Motel on the weekend of September 21-23 in a newly renovated room with fabulous new bathroom.
